Delta Air Lines expands California service with new Monterey routes

Delta Air Lines is expanding its service footprint in California, notably through new nonstop routes to Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) and a significant increase in operations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Starting December 19, 2026, Delta will launch twice-daily flights from Los Angeles to Monterey and daily flights from Salt Lake City to Monterey. These routes are strategically timed to support golf tourism ahead of the 2027 U.S. Open, which will be hosted at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Additionally, Delta plans to exceed 200 daily departures from LAX during its peak summer 2027 schedule. This expansion aims to strengthen LAX as a global gateway, providing increased connectivity for travelers heading to the U.S. West Coast, Asia, and the South Pacific.
