Delta Air Lines announces new transatlantic routes for 2027
Delta Air Lines has announced an expansion of its transatlantic network for the summer 2027 season, introducing three new routes connecting the United States to Europe.
New services include daily flights from Austin to Paris starting March 27, 2027, using an Airbus A330-900neo. Additionally, Delta will launch a four-times-weekly service between Boston and Venice beginning May 7, 2027, and a three-times-weekly service from Detroit to Athens starting June 8, 2027.
The Venice-Boston connection is expected to tap into a significant market, with annual traffic between the two cities estimated at over 50,000 passengers. This route, operated in coordination with partners Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic, aims to strengthen ties between the Veneto region and the United States, supporting both tourism and professional exchanges in sectors such as biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
Delta is also extending its seasonal schedule, bringing back earlier services to cities including Rome, Prague, Copenhagen, and Porto, while increasing flight frequencies to destinations like Rome and Copenhagen during the summer months.
