Delta and United to resume US-Israel flights in September 2026

Delta Air Lines and United Airlines have announced plans to resume nonstop flights between the United States and Israel in September 2026. The decision follows a period of service suspensions caused by regional security volatility and conflicts involving Israel and Iran.

Delta Air Lines will restart daily service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) on September 6, 2026, utilizing Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. United Airlines is scheduled to restore its route from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Tel Aviv on September 8, 2026, with plans to operate two daily nonstop flights. United also intends to return its San Francisco–Tel Aviv service in 2027.

In contrast, American Airlines has extended its suspension of flights to Israel, with no service expected to resume until 2027. The resumption of service by Delta and United follows safety assessments and ongoing monitoring of the regional security environment in coordination with aviation authorities.
