Delta Corp and Varun Beverages post strong revenue and volume growth in emerging markets

Delta Corporation of Zimbabwe announced a 23% rise in quarterly revenue to US$294.6 million for the three months to 30 June 2026, driven by a 14% increase in beverage volumes to about 3.4 million hectolitres. Sales of lager beer grew 17% and its sorghum‑beer segment rose 20%, while most domestic sales were made in foreign currency. The company said production capacity is being expanded at its Southerton and Belmont breweries to meet demand.

Varun Beverages Ltd reported robust growth in India and abroad, highlighted by a partnership with Japan’s Asahi Group Holdings to launch the CALPIS fermented dairy brand. The firm saw roughly 30% year‑on‑year growth in its Nimbooz portfolio and about 40% growth in value‑added dairy products, while expanding its presence in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Despite raw‑material price pressure, Varun maintained healthy gross margins by securing supplies early and increasing low‑sugar product shares.
