Delta Goodrem returns to Strictly Come Dancing after rib injury
Australian singer Delta Goodrem has made a successful return to the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing following a one-week absence caused by a fractured rib. The injury, which Goodrem attributed to a combination of lifts during rehearsals, forced her to miss the previous week's competition.
Partnered with professional dancer Kai Widdrington, Goodrem performed a rumba to Celine Dion's “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.” The performance earned the pair 34 out of 40 points, including the first score of 10 for the season, placing them second on the week's leaderboard.
Goodrem shared her recovery journey on social media, expressing gratitude for the support received while recovering from the injury. She noted that the fracture had also caused her to miss a scheduled royal engagement with Queen Camilla.
