Delta Logistika invests millions in Port of Gaženica
Delta Logistika, a company owned by Ivan Čermak, Ante Gotovina, and Ante Kotromanović, has begun significant infrastructure investments at the Port of Gaženica in Zadar. Following the termination of a previous contract with a Chinese concessionaire due to unfulfilled investment obligations, Delta Logistika took over operations this spring.
Since taking over, the new concessionaire has already invested over seven million euros into cleaning the site, upgrading infrastructure, and purchasing new port machinery and cranes. The company has committed to a total net investment of approximately 30.4 million euros within the first seven years of its 30-year concession.
The investment aims to revitalize the port, which was reportedly in poor condition at the time of takeover. The strategic plan includes expanding warehouse capacities and increasing cargo throughput. While the port handled approximately 322,000 tons of cargo in the previous year, the new management aims to reach an annual capacity of around 720,000 tons and employ roughly 140 people.
