A person was shot while inside a parked Tesla in Delta early Sunday morning, September 6, 2026. The Delta Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 10600 block of 64th Avenue, near the Highway 91 on-ramp, at approximately 4:33 a.m.

The victim was found at the scene with minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital in stable condition. Reports indicate the vehicle, which had an Uber sticker on the window, sustained multiple bullet holes in the windshield and passenger side.

Police have identified a grey Kia Forte as the suspect vehicle, which fled the area before officers arrived. Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated incident and stated there is no ongoing risk to the public. The 10600 block of 64th Avenue remains closed as the investigation continues.
