Delta State Governor Oborevwori mourns death of statesman Mike Adiotomre

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed grief over the death of Chief Mike Adiotomre, a prominent elder statesman and political leader from Ovu-Inland, who passed away at the age of 88.

Oborevwori described the late Adiotomre as an “institution of knowledge, wisdom and experience” whose work in public service and peace-building significantly impacted Delta State. Adiotomre previously served in various strategic roles, including as Secretary of the defunct Bendel State Hospitals Management Board.

A member of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, Adiotomre was noted for his ability to promote dialogue and reconciliation across political divides. The Governor extended his condolences to the Adiotomre family, the people of Ethiope East, and the Urhobo nation.
