Delta State Governor celebrates Olu of Warri and discloses salary

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori recently attended the fifth coronation anniversary of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III. During the celebration, Oborevwori praised the monarch for his leadership in promoting peace, unity, and infrastructure development within the Warri Kingdom and the broader Delta State.

In a separate disclosure during an event in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori revealed his monthly salary of N503,000. He noted that this amount is less than the remuneration of certain senior civil servants, stating that Permanent Secretaries earn N900,000 per month while the Head of Service receives N1 million.

The governor explained that the salary for Permanent Secretaries was increased to address concerns that their pay was nearly identical to that of directors. He also highlighted the administration's efforts to support civil servants through housing and vehicle loan schemes, as well as providing farm inputs to encourage agricultural productivity.
