Delta State: Oborevwori pledges agricultural support amid political disputes
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting farmers and private investors through infrastructure development and an enabling business environment. During visits to several farms in the state, Oborevwori highlighted that support would focus on providing essential services such as electricity and road access rather than direct funding. He noted that a 33KV electricity line has been awarded and ongoing road projects aim to link farming communities to markets.
Separately, Delta State Commissioner for Works, Charles Aniagwu, has dismissed allegations made by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege regarding political tension. Aniagwu denied claims that Governor Oborevwori is plotting against the Delta Central senatorial candidate, stating that the two politicians are running for different positions and will not appear on the same ballot in the 2027 elections. Aniagwu characterized the allegations as an attempt to manufacture controversy for campaign sympathy.
