Delta State Police Arrest Two Suspects in Cable Vandalism Crackdown

Delta State Police Command arrested two men, Osakwe Sunday (28) and Ekene Obocha (34), on 25 June 2026 after a raid along the Ibabu‑Ugiliamai Road. The operation, conducted with local vigilantes, recovered stolen electric cables that had been removed from public power facilities. One suspect was injured and taken to hospital, while the other remains in custody. Police Commissioner Yemi Oyeniyi warned criminal groups against targeting government infrastructure and pledged continued action to protect public assets.
