Delta unveils 150kW liquid-to-air cooling for NVIDIA AI servers
Delta and ASRock Rack have introduced the GoCool-150, a liquid-to-air cooling unit designed to manage the extreme thermal demands of next-generation AI server racks. The system is capable of dissipating up to 150 kilowatts of heat from a single rack, a significant leap in density compared to traditional high-performance mainframes.
The GoCool-150 is specifically engineered for data centers that utilize direct-liquid-cooled server racks but lack the building-scale liquid-cooling loops required for full integration. It acts as a standalone heat exchanger, transferring heat from liquid-cooled servers into a facility's existing air-handling systems. This provides a bridge for facilities originally built for air cooling to adopt modern AI hardware.
Debuted alongside the ASRock Rack NVIDIA Rubin Vera NVL72 configuration, the unit features two massive heatsinks, five copper pipes, and five pumps. It utilizes 32 high-speed proprietary fans to move 17,658 cubic feet of air per minute. The system is designed to support hot-swapping for maintenance without requiring system shutdowns.
