DeltaForesight raises 324 million yen for JPY-pegged stablecoin development

DeltaForesight has raised a cumulative total of 324 million yen through the issuance of J-KISS type stock acquisition rights. The funding round was led by Coral Capital, with participation from FFG Venture Business Partners, Decima Fund, Animoca Brands, HashPort, DeFimans, and Narrative Inc.

The company is developing the ‘JPY DeFi’ protocol, which aims to allow users to borrow ‘JPYdf’—a crypto-asset stablecoin designed to target value parity with the Japanese yen—using crypto assets or other stablecoins as collateral.

CEO Yusuke Shindo, a former auditor and experienced crypto-asset service founder, stated that the goal is to connect global on-chain liquidity to the yen-denominated economy. By allowing assets other than yen to serve as collateral, the protocol seeks to expand the utility of the yen within the decentralized finance ecosystem. The company noted that while JPYdf aims for value parity with the yen, it does not guarantee price stability, redemption in yen, or principal protection.
