Deltebre concludes first debate cycle for 50th anniversary

The Deltebre City Council has concluded its first cycle of debate and reflection sessions as part of the upcoming 50th-anniversary commemorations for the municipality, scheduled for May 2027.

The three sessions focused on recovering the history of the town’s segregation process and its evolution. Participants included individuals who lived through the creation of the municipality, local writers documenting the town's identity, and representatives from various municipal administrations that have served over the last five decades.

Mayor Lluís Soler stated that the goal is for the anniversary to serve not only as a tribute to the past but as an opportunity to reinforce community pride and reflect on the future of Deltebre. Following these debates, upcoming initiatives include a commemorative podcast and an itinerant exhibition for local educational centers starting in October.
