DEM Party warns against leaked Abdullah Öcalan meeting notes

The DEM Party Imralı Committee has issued a warning regarding meeting notes and transcripts circulating on social media that are attributed to Abdullah Öcalan. The committee characterized these documents as a “dangerous activity” intended to sabotage the ongoing political process. They noted that the circulated texts contain additions, deletions, and inserted phrases regarding specific individuals, and lack a clear context or official basis. The committee urged the public to disregard any information that does not originate directly from the Imralı Committee, Öcalan’s family, or his lawyers.

In a separate development related to the disarmament process, the Follow-up and Evaluation Committee, established under the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration, held its first meeting at the Presidential Complex. Chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, the meeting included high-level officials from security, foreign policy, and judicial sectors to discuss the roadmap for the disarmament process.

Additionally, legal expert Ömer Faruk Eminağaoğlu suggested that under the new legal framework, Öcalan may be officially assigned as the Head of the Disarmament and Politicization Sub-Committee, potentially leading to a political integration of PKK elements into the parliamentary system.
