DEM Party protests prison sentences totaling over 65 years

Members of the DEM Party held a press conference in Gaziantep to protest the Supreme Court's decision to uphold prison sentences exceeding 65 years. The sentences are related to political activities conducted during the period of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP).

DEM Party Şanlıurfa MP Dilan Ayan Kunt stated that the Kurdish people remain resilient despite punitive policies. Gaziantep Provincial Co-Chair Fasih Yeşil criticized the timing of the court's decision, noting that the upholding of these sentences occurs during a period when social peace and resolution processes are being discussed.
