DeMar DeRozan targeted by Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors

Veteran NBA forward DeMar DeRozan, 36, entered free agency after parting ways with the Sacramento Kings in July. Reports say the Detroit Pistons are actively evaluating a contract for DeRozan, who could add experience to a roster that finished atop the Eastern Conference but fell short in the playoffs. The Toronto Raptors, where DeRozan spent nine seasons, have also expressed interest in bringing him back.

DeRozan averaged 18.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists last season, playing in 77 games and shooting 49.7% from the field. Both clubs view him as a potential secondary scorer and veteran presence as they reshape their lineups for the upcoming season.
