DeMarcus Lawrence announces 2026 will be final NFL season

Lawrence noted that his decision was influenced by his family, including his wife and six children, who reside in Dallas. He revealed that he had considered retirement during the previous offseason due to the distance from his family while playing in Seattle.
A five-time Pro Bowler, Lawrence spent 11 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before signing with the Seahawks. His tenure in Seattle included a Super Bowl LX championship. During the 2025 regular season, he recorded six sacks and two fumble recovery touchdowns.
