Dementia UK to host free specialist clinics in London and Northern England

Dementia UK is relaunching free face-to-face clinics in partnership with Nationwide. These sessions will be held at Nationwide branches across London, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and Lancashire.

Hosted by Admiral Nurses, the clinics provide a private space for individuals and families impacted by dementia to receive practical and emotional advice. Topics covered include symptom concerns, the diagnosis process, and understanding disease progression.

With nearly one million people estimated to be living with dementia in the UK, the charity has released guidance for carers. Recommendations include inquiring about follow-up appointments, identifying primary points of contact for health and social care coordination, and seeking assistance with medication management through pharmacists or healthcare professionals.
