Demetrio Crisantes leads Diamondbacks prospects in Arizona Fall League

Arizona Diamondbacks top prospect Demetrio Crisantes is delivering a strong performance in the Arizona Fall League. The 22-year-old infielder has recorded eight hits in 17 at-bats, including two doubles and a triple, tying him for the most hits in the first week of the season.

Crisantes, a seventh-round pick from the 2022 MLB draft, has shown consistent growth across multiple minor league levels. In the 2026 season, he maintained a .292 batting average with 10 home runs and 53 RBIs across 92 games. His progression included a .319 average during his Double-A debut and a .278 average in his first 50 Triple-A contests.

Originally from Nogales, Arizona, Crisantes’ development was supported by a baseball training gym established by his father, Miguel, within their family's produce warehouse. While Crisantes has primarily played second base, his path to the major leagues may be influenced by the Diamondbacks' roster situation involving All-Star Ketel Marte.
