Democrat Party leaders provide flood relief in Bangkok

Leaders of the Democrat Party, including Abhisit Vejjajiva and Chuan Leekpai, have been conducting relief operations for flood victims in Bangkok. The party members distributed survival kits, dry food, and drinking water to residents in the Keha Rom Klao area, where some citizens had reportedly been struggling to access government assistance for 48 to 70 hours.

Additionally, party representatives visited a temporary shelter at the Bangkok College of Fine Arts in the Bang Kapi district. The shelter, which currently houses approximately 500 evacuees, received aid from the Seni Pramoj Foundation. Party leaders noted that while volunteers and private sectors have been active, there is a pressing need for improved government coordination to manage the crisis effectively as flooding persists in various parts of the capital and begins to affect central and northern provinces.
