Democratic Montenegro members resign from Kotor committee
Six members of the Democratic Montenegro party, including the Kotor Municipal Committee, have resigned from the organization. The departing members are Vuk Bojat, Radosav Tujković, Ognjen Vukasović, Špiro Vulović, Mirko Božović, and Darko Vorotović.
In a joint open letter, the group cited long-standing dissatisfaction with the party's central leadership. They specifically criticized centralized decision-making, a lack of open dialogue, and a deficiency in timely information. The members expressed frustration that decisions affecting their local area are made without meaningful participation from the local committee.
The group further stated that the party has failed to use its influence within the state government to address the needs of the Boka region and Kotor. They argued that Kotor is being treated as a political periphery rather than a primary cultural and historical center of Montenegro, and that the party has not fulfilled its obligation to improve local living standards.
