Democratic Party disputes confrontation at Lombardy vaccine injury conference

A dispute has emerged following a conference titled ‘Il cammino nella luce’ held at Palazzo Pirelli, the seat of the Lombardy Region. The event was dedicated to individuals suffering from vaccine-related injuries and their families, featuring medical professionals and activists.

Following the event, members of the Democratic Party (PD) regional group issued a statement alleging they were subjected to an ‘intrusion’ and verbal aggression by approximately thirty people seeking confrontation after the party criticized the conference. The PD leadership, including national secretary Elly Schlein and regional leader Pierfrancesco Majorno, characterized the incident as an attempt at intimidation.

However, representatives from the association ‘Persone in Cammino’ have contested this narrative. They argue that the participants, including individuals with disabilities using wheelchairs, were not acting as aggressors but were attempting to seek dialogue. They claim the party's rhetoric mischaracterizes victims of medical complications as violent ‘no-vax’ agitators.
