Democratic Party leader Tosiani calls for early elections

Luigi Tosiani, the regional secretary of the Democratic Party (PD) in Emilia-Romagna, has called for elections to be held as soon as possible, stating that the current legislature is politically finished. He argued that the recent approval of the electoral law demonstrates how disconnected the current government is from national needs regarding labor, income, education, and public health.

Tosiani also emphasized the importance of conducting well-organized primary elections to unite the center-left. He urged the party to move past internal debates regarding leadership selection methods and instead focus on establishing a shared programmatic framework for the coalition.
