Democratic Party organizes Festa dell’Unità events in Sicily

The Democratic Party (PD) is organizing provincial editions of the ‘Festa dell’Unità’ in Sicily from October 2 to 4, 2026. These events aim to foster political debate among administrators, institutions, and social representatives.

In Vittoria, the event will focus on regional issues such as youth emigration from the South, urban governance, education, climate change, and the economic development of the Mezzogiorno. Scheduled discussions include the role of the Mediterranean in Europe and the future of the PD.

In Palermo, held at Villa Filippina under the slogan ‘Participating is changing,’ the festival will feature over 50 representatives from institutions, unions, and associations. Key topics include housing rights, gender equality, labor, anti-mafia efforts, and social justice. The Palermo event serves as a strategic platform for the party to prepare for upcoming elections and the 2027 Palermo administration.
