Democratic Republic of Congo Completes June Payroll and Declares June 30 Paid Holiday

The Committee for Payroll Monitoring (CSP) reported that the June 2026 payroll for state agents and civil servants in the Democratic Republic of Congo has entered its final phase, with military and police pay envelopes released on June 16 and other categories gradually cleared. The CSP aims to finish payments by June 29 to allow public‑sector workers to enjoy the national independence celebration on June 30.

Minister of Employment and Labour Ferdinand Massamba Wa Massamba announced that Tuesday, June 30 2026, will be a paid, non‑working day nationwide to mark the 66th anniversary of the country's independence. The holiday, established by ordinance, will be observed with official, cultural, and popular events, though large military parades have been suspended due to security concerns in the east of the country.
