Democratic Republic of the Congo and Med-Or Foundation sign cooperation agreement

The Med-Or Italian Foundation and the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Rome to promote strategic dialogue and cooperation. The agreement was signed by Med-Or President Marco Minniti and Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner.

The partnership focuses on organizing joint seminars and initiatives aimed at capacity building, training, and sectoral strengthening. The cooperation aligns with the Med-Or Italian Foundation’s broader commitment in Africa and the objectives of the Piano Mattei.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is noted for its significant economic potential, including its role in critical raw material value chains for the energy transition and its vast agricultural capacity, with over 80 million hectares of arable land.
