Democrats hold major fundraising events in Nantucket and Los Angeles

Democratic candidates and party leaders are engaging in high-profile fundraising efforts ahead of the November midterm elections. In Nantucket, Massachusetts, party figures including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Texas Senate candidate James Talarico have been participating in events to tap into the island’s wealthy donor networks.

In Los Angeles, Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff and Texas Senate nominee James Talarico are headlining a joint fundraiser hosted by entertainment industry figures Shonda Rhimes and Damon Lindelof. The event, titled ‘Two Visionaries, One Night’, aims to leverage the candidates' national appeal among donors in the entertainment sector.

Federal filings as of June 30 show the Democratic National Committee, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee held approximately $136 million in combined cash on hand, while Republican counterparts held roughly $277 million.
