Democrats lead Republicans in House control preference, Quinnipiac poll shows

A Quinnipiac University national poll of registered voters shows the Democratic Party holds an 11-point advantage over the Republican Party regarding control of the U.S. House of Representatives. According to the survey, 49% of voters favor Democratic control, while 38% favor Republicans, with 13% remaining undecided or offering no opinion.

The poll indicates that the gap between the two parties has widened since July, when Democrats led 48% to 41%. Regarding congressional performance, approval ratings remain low for both parties, with 21% approving of Democrats in Congress and 26% approving of Republicans.

Additionally, the survey found that Donald Trump holds a 33% approval rating, while 59% of respondents disapprove of his performance. His approval ratings on specific issues, including the economy, immigration, foreign policy, and the Russia-Ukraine war, were noted as being particularly low.
