Demon Slayer: character guide and demon hierarchy

The series Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) follows Tanjiro Kamado’s journey to restore his sister Nezuko’s humanity after she is transformed into a demon. Tanjiro, a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, utilizes Water Breathing and the Hinokami Kagura to combat enemies. Key allies include Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Kanao Tsuyuri, and Genya Shinazugawa.

The narrative features a distinct hierarchy of power. At the top are the Twelve Kizuki, the elite demons serving Muzan Kibutsuji, including the powerful Upper Moons. Below them are various lower-tier demons. Examples of weaker demons include the Temple Demon, which relies on basic strength and regeneration, and the Hand Demon, a large entity that survived for decades on Fujikasane Mountain by consuming candidates during the Final Selection.
