Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc re-broadcast sparks emotional viewer reactions

The re-broadcast of the third episode of the ‘Mugen Train Arc’ from the ‘Demon Slayer’ anime series has drawn significant emotional responses from viewers. In this episode, the demon Enmu uses blood demon art to plunge Tanjiro Kamado, Kyojuro Rengoku, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira into deep sleep to destroy their ‘spiritual cores.’

Viewers reacted with a mix of humor and sadness to the characters' dreams. Zenitsu and Inosuke experienced lighthearted, idealized scenarios, while Kyojuro Rengoku’s dream—involving a difficult interaction with his father—was described by fans as deeply painful. Tanjiro’s dream, which featured a peaceful moment with his family, led to a climactic realization where his subconscious urged him to wake up to the reality of the train attack.

The ‘Demon Slayer’ franchise, based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, has seen massive success with over 220 million copies in circulation. Following the ‘Hashira Training Arc,’ the upcoming ‘Infinity Castle Arc’ film trilogy is scheduled to begin with the release of ‘Chapter One: Akaza’s Return’ on July 18, 2025.
