Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 sees Switch 2 announcement and Denuvo crack

SEGA has announced the Digital Ultimate Edition for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2. This edition includes the base game, the Infinity Castle Character Pass, various character unlock keys, and exclusive cosmetic items. Additionally, a version of the game is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 29, 2026, with a free upgrade path available for existing Nintendo Switch owners, though the Character Pass must be purchased separately.

In a separate development, the game's security has been compromised. The user voices38 successfully bypassed the Denuvo anti-tamper protection on the PC version of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2. This follows a crack of the first game in the series released only two hours prior. The game, developed by CyberConnect2, features expanded combat mechanics and a roster of over 40 playable characters.

SEGA has also implemented permanent price reductions for the standard and deluxe editions of both the original title and its sequel across currently available platforms.
