Den Helder Sailing Tour and Katwijk Motor Tour Set for 2026

The Koninklijke Marine Jacht Club (KMJC) announced the Dorus Rijkers Tocht sailing event for Saturday 5 September 2026. The race will start at 10:00 a.m. from the KMJC harbour in Den Helder, covering roughly 15‑20 nautical miles in the Wadden Sea. Registration costs €15 per boat, with proceeds supporting the Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij, and participants receive a free overnight berth.

The Oranjevereniging Katwijk aan den Rijn will hold its annual Motortourtocht on Saturday 22 August 2026 as part of the Katwijk aan den Rijnse Najaarsfeesten. The 180‑km route begins at De Roskam on the Turfmarkt, follows the Groene Hart and includes a coffee stop, a catered lunch, and a final gathering with drinks. Entry is €27.50 per rider, covering coffee, lunch, a GPS route and the return‑trip beverage.
