DENIOS SE introduces smart real-time asset monitoring for safety cabinets

DENIOS SE, based in Bad Oeynhausen, has introduced a Real-time Asset Monitoring system designed to transform traditional safety cabinets into networked, intelligent systems. The technology allows companies to track the contents of cabinets—including hazardous substances, lithium-ion batteries, and tools—in real time.

The system utilizes RFID chips on items and sensors within the cabinets to automatically document every removal and return. Access is restricted to authorized personnel via personalized cards, ensuring a transparent digital log of who accessed which item and when. Data is transmitted via a dedicated mobile connection to the DENIOS connect online portal, eliminating the need for complex IT integration.

This solution is compatible with both new and existing safety cabinets and allows for the centralized management of multiple locations. The goal of the system is to reduce time spent searching for materials, optimize reordering processes, and enhance safety and environmental protection through improved hazardous material management.
