Denis Drăguș faces uncertain future at Trabzonspor amid transfer talks

Romanian striker Denis Drăguș is facing an uncertain future at the Turkish club Trabzonspor. Coach Fatih Tekke has indicated that Drăguș, along with several other players, is not part of the core plans for the season and is training with the squad primarily to meet UEFA criteria.

Negotiations are currently underway regarding the termination of Drăguș's contract, which runs until 2028. While the player is seeking a full payout of the remaining 3 million euros, Trabzonspor has expressed interest in a compensatory sum instead.

Potential moves to Romanian clubs FCSB and CFR Cluj face significant financial hurdles. Trabzonspor is reportedly unwilling to release the player for free and seeks to recover their investment. If a loan agreement were reached, the acquiring club would be required to cover over 60% of his annual salary, which is approximately 1 million euros. FCSB owner Gigi Becali has expressed interest in the player, potentially offering a high salary, though reports suggest the player's representatives remain hesitant about a return to the Romanian league.
