Denis Drăguș near move to FCSB from Trabzonspor

Romanian international striker Denis Drăguș is reportedly close to completing a transfer to FCSB, the Bucharest club formerly known as Steaua. FCSB president Gigi Becali told Romanian media that after discussions with coach Marius Șumudică the deal is about 90 % likely to be sealed, pending finalisation of the financial terms and agreement with Drăguș’s agent.

The proposed contract would offer the 27‑year‑old a package worth roughly €1 million per year, making him one of the highest‑paid players in the Romanian league. FCSB must also resolve the termination of Drăguș’s contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor before the move can be finalised.

Former Romanian international Bănel Nicoliță has praised the potential signing, suggesting the player could help FCSB reach the Conference League group stage and later attract lucrative offers from clubs in the Gulf region.
