Denis Morea dies in motorcycle accident on Transalpina

Denis Morea, a 28-year-old football player for the Spicul Daia Română team, died following a motorcycle accident on the Transalpina road (DN 67C) in Romania.

The incident occurred on Sunday, August 30, 2026, around 11:20 AM, near kilometer 134 between Laz and Căpâlna. While traveling from Sebeș toward Șugag, Morea reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and collided violently with a metal guardrail on the side of the road.

Emergency medical teams arrived at the scene and attempted resuscitation efforts, but were unable to save his life. The Spicul Daia Română club released a statement expressing profound sadness over the loss of their player, offering condolences to his family and friends.
