Denis Odoi Returns to Club Brugge to Lead Club NXT U23 Squad
Veteran Ghana international defender Denis Odoi, 38, has signed a one‑year deal with Club NXT, the U23 side of Belgian champions Club Brugge, with an option to extend for a second season. The contract allows him to play while acting as a mentor for the young squad as they compete in the Challenger Pro League.
Odoi previously featured for Club Brugge between 2022 and 2024, making 93 appearances, scoring four goals and helping the team secure two Belgian Pro League titles and a Belgian Super Cup. After spells at Royal Antwerp and Dutch side NAC Breda, he returns to familiar surroundings to guide emerging talents. His career also includes six years at Fulham (129 appearances, two Premier League promotions), stints with STVV, Anderlecht and OH Leuven, and 14 caps for Ghana, including participation in the 2022 World Cup.
