Denis Perron's body found in the Dordogne river
The body of 32-year-old Denis Perron has been recovered from the Dordogne river in Corrèze, France. Perron had been reported missing since the night of August 8-9 while camping and fishing with friends near Auriac.
His remains were discovered on August 21 by two kayakists near the site where he had set up his bivouac. Authorities confirmed his identity through dental records and a distinctive tattoo on his tibia.
Following his disappearance, search efforts had included helicopters, drones, and divers. An autopsy is being conducted at the Limoges forensic institute to determine the exact cause of death.
