Denise Çakıcı converts to Islam in Gaziantep

Denise Çakıcı, a resident of Germany and mother of four, has converted to Islam following her reaction to the humanitarian situation in Gaza. After researching the religion through the Quran and consulting her husband, Yusuf Çakıcı, she traveled to Gaziantep, Turkey, to formalize her conversion.

A ceremony was held at the Gaziantep Provincial Mufti Office, attended by Provincial Mufti Mustafa Soykök. During the ceremony, Çakıcı recited the Shahada and adopted the name 'Sena'. Her husband noted that her interest in Islam was driven by her emotional response to seeing the resilience of people in Gaza.
