Denise Ann Jewell passes away at age 65

Denise Ann Jewell, 65, of New Castle, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh following an illness.

A 1979 graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School, Jewell worked in the billing department at Noga Ambulance. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, baking, and visiting Moraine State Park.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Prospect. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., with interment at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Slippery Rock.
