Denise Pipitone disappearance: Family seeks truth 22 years later

Twenty-two years after the disappearance of Denise Pipitone from Mazara del Vallo on September 1, 2004, her family continues to seek truth and justice. The case remains one of Italy’s most complex and unresolved mysteries.

During a recent television appearance, Denise’s mother, Piera Maggio, expressed deep resentment toward the state, describing the situation as “one of the Italian shames” and accusing authorities of leaving the family to fend for themselves. She stated that despite years of effort, the family has been left with “nothing at all” and feels they must constantly beg for information and searches.

The Mayor of Mazara del Vallo, Salvatore Quinci, has reaffirmed the community's support for the family, noting that Denise has become an “ideal daughter” to the entire city. The family continues to urge the public to share Denise’s age-progression images to assist in the ongoing search for answers.
