Denise Pipitone disappearance: new witness details emerge
New developments and testimonies have emerged regarding the 2004 disappearance of Denise Pipitone in Mazara del Vallo, Italy. Denise, who was nearly four years old at the time, vanished on September 1, 2004, while playing near her maternal grandmother's house.
Piera Maggio, Denise's mother, recently discussed the case, highlighting the long-standing search and the impact of false videos claiming the child had been found. The investigation has previously explored various theories, including potential kidnapping involving family members, though many legal proceedings ended without convictions due to a lack of evidence.
A recent testimony from a deaf witness, Battista Della Chiave, has introduced new, unsettling details. Through an interpreter, the witness described seeing two men carrying the crying child past an overpass and transporting her via motorcycle before she was allegedly hidden inside a boat with oars under a blanket. Experts noted that communication difficulties between the witness and the interpreter may have caused ambiguity in the account. Some investigators suggest that a motorcycle mentioned in the testimony may have been discarded at sea, a lead that has not yet been fully pursued.
