Deniz Undav doubts national team selection

VfB Stuttgart striker Deniz Undav stated he has no hope of being selected by Germany national team coach Jürgen Klopp for the upcoming international fixtures. Speaking after a Champions League match against Galatasaray Istanbul, the 30-year-old captain noted that he has received no signals regarding a potential nomination.

Undav, who has scored in the Champions League and DFB-Pokal this season, is still searching for his first Bundesliga goal. While he has scored nine goals in 13 appearances for the national team, he was omitted from Klopp's previous large-scale squad. For the upcoming Nations League matches against Serbia and the Netherlands, the squad size will be limited to a maximum of 26 players.
