Deniz Yıldızı Apartments technical inspections expected to finish in one month

Technical inspections at the Deniz Yıldızı Apartments are expected to be completed within one month, according to the Laguna Deniz Yıldızı Association. The ongoing study aims to address missing data and technical information from previous expert reports to evaluate the building's current condition and determine the costs required for structural reinforcement.

The work is being conducted under the authorization of the Foundations Administration, with contributions from academics appointed by the Eastern Mediterranean University (DAÜ) and in accordance with a protocol signed between the Famagusta Municipality and DAÜ. The association has called on the Foundations Administration to provide a concrete implementation schedule for the reinforcement process.

The association also issued safety warnings to residents, emphasizing that the goal of the information provided is to ensure safety until technical studies are finalized. Additionally, the association addressed claims of victimization by stating that some individuals currently residing in the building do not hold property rights or valid lease agreements.
