Denizli and Adıyaman strengthen ties with new Denizli Karapınar Park

The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality built a park in the Karapınar neighbourhood of Adıyaman as a gesture of solidarity after the February 6, 2023 earthquakes. The park was completed quickly and opened to the public.

During a visit on the third anniversary of the quakes, Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu met with Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere. The Adıyaman Municipal Council then voted unanimously to name the site "Denizli Karapınar Park," thanking Denizli’s support. Tutdere said the park “is a symbol of the close friendship between the two cities,” while Çavuşoğlu highlighted the importance of inter‑municipal cooperation in healing the disaster’s wounds.
