Denizli Book Fair opens as Turkey's third-largest literary event

The inaugural TÜYAP Denizli Book Fair has opened at the EGS Fair Area, running for nine days from October 17 to October 25. Organized by TÜYAP Fuarlar Yapım A. Ş. in collaboration with the Turkish Publishers Association and supported by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, the event has become Turkey’s third-largest book fair in its first year, following Istanbul and Adana.

The fair features 212 participating publishing houses and aims to serve as a cultural hub for Denizli and the Aegean Region. The program includes author signings, panels, workshops, and various cultural activities.

During the opening ceremony, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu emphasized the importance of book fairs in fostering social and cultural transformation. TÜYAP General Manager İlhan Ersözlü noted that the event's scale in its first year has surpassed many established fairs, with the long-term goal of making it the largest book fair in the Aegean Region.
