Denizli completes strategic Gömce-İmrallı road project

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has completed the Gömce-İmrallı road, a strategic infrastructure project connecting the districts of Baklan, Çivril, and Bekilli in Denizli, as well as Karahallı in Uşak. The route, which previously consisted of dirt and stabilized soil, has been upgraded to modern transportation standards through asphalt paving.

The project involved the construction of a 7-kilometer-long road with a width of 8 meters, covering a total of 56,000 square meters of asphalt surfacing. To improve driving safety, officials implemented adjustments to curves and installed culverts at nine critical points to manage water flow from stream beds.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu and Bekilli Mayor Önder Demir officially opened the road with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor Çavuşoğlu noted that the project was initiated following persistent requests from local residents and village leaders to address a long-standing gap in the regional transport network.
