Denizli football legends to reunite for special match

Organizers MK Yapım and Denizli Bilsin have announced the ‘Legends Football Feast,’ an event featuring 44 former athletes who played for Denizlispor and various amateur clubs. The match is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 20:00 at the Servergazi Field.

During a press conference held at the Denizli Journalists Association Press Center, organizers Mustafa Karapınar and Hüsamettin Kesikbaş stated that the event aims to draw attention to the decline of football in Denizli and the negative impact on the amateur sports community.

Experienced coach Hasan Ersoy noted that the weakening or closure of professional representatives like Denizlispor, Denizli Belediyespor, and Kızılcabölükspor has hindered opportunities for local youth. He emphasized that while Denizli produces talented players, many are forced to play in other cities like Alanya, Manisa, or Bursa due to a lack of local infrastructure and opportunities.
