Denizli hosts Gangster musical for 2nd Opera and Ballet Days

As part of the 2nd Denizli Opera and Ballet Days, the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Modern Dance Ensemble performed the two-act musical “Gangster” at the Özay Gönlüm Hall. The event, hosted by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, was held in celebration of the 103rd anniversary of the Republic.

The production set the scene in 1930s America during the Great Depression, focusing on the life of notorious bank robber John Dillinger. The musical integrated theatrical text with modern dance to explore themes of crime, justice, love, passion, and betrayal.

The performances were sold out over two days, receiving standing ovations from the audience. Following the performances, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Özgür Başkurt presented plaques and flowers to the artists in recognition of their work.
